Bride

On the day of October 9, 2012 it was just like any other Tuesday. Brad and Shelby both went to work as usual, and then when we came home Brad offered to take Shelby out to dinner for their anniversary. Shelby said sure where would you like to go (thinking somewhere nice) Brad replies "Master Wok"! Shelby said "seriously, ok". We both got into the car and drove towards Master Wok then once on the high way we started to pass Master Wok and Shelby said "where are we going" Brad said "I was kidding about Master Wok we are going somewhere else it’s a surprise". We pull into the parking lot at Ponacs Mexican restraunt on Southwest Blvd. Ponacs was where we went for one of our first dates. We ate dinner as usual and then Brad asked if Shelby wanted to go look at the city lights on Liberty Memorial. One of Shelby’s most favorite things to do is look at all the city lights at night. Once at the memorial we stood there and took in all the beautiful lights then walked around for a bit. Brad asked if Shelby wanted to go to another spot to look at the city lights again as it was getting darker outside. As we pulled up to the other spot we go out and sat on the wall and just watched the planes fly in and all the city lights that surrounded us. As we were getting ready to leave Shelby stood up and Brad asked for a hug... Shelby gave him and a hug then he took her hands and started on his speech (still to this day Shelby was so overwhelmed she could not remember what he said) then he got down on one knee and asked if Shelby would marry him. She said OF COURSE! He handed her the ring and she could not even look at it because she was shaking so badly. She sat back down in the car and finally calmed down and was able to one the ring box and inside was her DREAM ring. He slipped it on her finger and she was in shock. We drove straight to both our parents to tell them the good news (little did she know both our parents knew about the proposal!) It was the perfect night and something they will always have a vivid memory of!
